Costco Faves Part FIVE

I'm back and sharing more of our FAVES From Costco... things that we love and purchase on repeat either because they're a bargain, EXTRA tasty or both ;)

If you missed it you can find Part One HERE, Part Two HEREPart Three HERE, and Part Four HERE.

I LOVE making banana bread BUT the Kirkland banana bread gives homemade a run for it's money.  It tastes homemade and is FULL of walnuts which I love.

Teacher Tuesday - Exams are Coming

The end of the school year can be exhausting and overwhelming... for teachers AND students ;)  A co-worker of mine tagged me in this on Facebook and I laughed way too hard...

There is a LOT going on at the end of the year including lots of tests and exams for my classes and so I thought I'd share a couple of ways I like to use to keep things fun and still productive.

Costa Rica 2024

Back in March Luke headed to Costa Rica with a group from school and lots of y'all contributed to his trip when he talked about it on my instagram and so I thought it would be fun to give you a little peek into his trip!

Magnolia Vanilla Cake

I made this cake on Easter weekend and it tasted just as good as it looked.  It was light, moist and full of flavor.  The icing was delicious and it turned out looking cute even though I am HORRIBLE at frosting cakes.  You could easily top it with fruit or color the icing to suit your needs and this is a great recipe to keep on hand when you want to bake something just a little bit special (but not crazy complicated).

What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here! I missed out on this last week when I pressed pause on the blog to get caught up on some school things but wanted to share anyway ;)

I made our favorite burgers this weekend....

... TRUST me when I tell you that these patties are so much better than one you buy at the store!

Reading Recap

 The Teacher

"Eve has a good life. She gets up each day, gets a kiss from her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except…

Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye.

Addie can't be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that's what everyone says.

But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet."

G's Boho Swiftie Bday Dinner

I mean - does anything scream ELEVEN more than a request for a Taylor Swift birthday dinner?!?! I think not.

Honey garlic pork loin

This is very out of character for me, but I'm going to share a recipe with y'all today without a single photo of the finished product. Why?  Because I made it last weekend and didn't take any pics of the completed meal, my family LOVED IT and so I don't want to wait until I make it again to share it with y'all because it was THAT GOOD!

It's a honey garlic pork loin that was tender, flavorful, easy and my entire family ate it up.  I served it with mashed potatoes and it was a HUGE hit!  It's a super simple weeknight meal and I know lots of y'all meal plan on the weekends so make sure you add this to your list for next week!

Apparently these are the only two photos I took - hahahaha

From the Archives: Prego

Griffin turns ELEVEN today and having all three kids birthdays within 16 days definitely has me all up in my feels and my memories every year.  In honor of alllll the birthdays I thought it would be fun to reshare one of my most popular posts of all time (from almost ten year ago) where I highlight each one of my pregnancies.  Buckle up because it's a long (but fun!) one! HAPPY Wednesday, friends!

When I did my "Questions Answered" post last week, someone commented that they thought it would be fun to get more info and details about my pregnancies.  I loved the idea so much I got started on it ASAP and I've had so much fun looking back through pictures and remembering the TWO AND A QUARTER YEARS I spent pregnant. ;)

Dave and I had been married for two years when we decided the timing was right to start our family. I was about to start my second year of teaching and thought that a Spring baby would be perfect since I could teach three quarters of the year, then be off from the time the baby was born all the way until the next school year.  A few weeks later and we were here...

Mason's Bday Dinner

Mason is THIRTEEN and I seriously can't believe it.  Another teenager in the house!  I LOVED having babies and toddlers but teens have been surprisingly fun so I'm extra pumped ;)

He has a golf tournament today and doesn't tee off until late afternoon so we decided to bump his birthday dinner to last night and celebrate him a little bit early.
